What is NailBidder?
NailBidder is a new and exciting auction shopping website where nerves of steel get you an amazing deal! What do I mean by this? I mean that you can buy name brand products for a fraction of the cost! NailBidder is a penny auction, which is basically a pay-per-bid auction. All you have to do is register and choose the amount of bids you’d like to buy. Then, every time you bid on an item, the price increases by a penny, hence the name ‘penny auction.’ The highest bidder when the timer runs out is the winner! Who is Rusty the Nail?
Rusty is the head honcho around here, the sheriff of NailBidder.com. He makes sure all the auctions are fair and no one is cheating. Don’t let his stature fool you, he is tough as nails.
Guaranteed In Stock!
You saw right! Every item up for auction is in stock before the auction begins! This allows us to get you your items faster than any other site! We even have an over-night shipping option if you can’t wait any longer for your win! Still don’t believe that we ship from our warehouse? When your package arrives, look for our logo tape around it! We mean it when we say, all items are guaranteed in stock!

Can you walk me through the process?
Of course we can! First and foremost, you have to register! That’s the simple part, just fill out your basic information and choose a username and password. Make sure your password isn’t something obvious or something that can be easily guessed, and remember to keep your password a secret!
Once you’re signed up and ready to go, you have to purchase some bids, which you can do from the main page. Simply choose how many bids you’d like to purchase and your method of payment and wah-la! You’re ready to begin bidding!
After you’ve browsed our site and found that item that you really want, all you have to do is decide if you’d like to place a single bid or if you’d like to use our automatic Nail Clipper feature.
Now that you’ve placed your bid, you will notice that the price of the item has gone up by a penny and you are now the highest bidder, yay! You will also notice that every time a bid is placed in the last 30 seconds the timer will reset to 30, 20 or 10 seconds depending on the auction. This gives other bidders a chance to bid. Make sure you keep an eye on your auction until the timer runs out and make sure that someone doesn’t outbid you!
I've registered but haven't received a confirmation email. What should I do?
If you're still having trouble receiving the email or if you'd like to change the email address used in registration, contact our Support Team and we'll take it from there.
What are the Nail Clipper and Sledge Hammer? How do they work?
Nail Clipper is a tool that bidders can use to help them try to win an item, in case they can't stay by the computer as the bidding on the auction continues. To set the Nail Clipper, fill in the amounts where you want your Clipper to start and end, and the number of bids you would like the Clipper to make. Once the Nail Clipper is set, it will wait until the last few seconds of the auction and place a single bid, similar to what happens when you make a bid in the last few seconds. If multiple Nail Clippers have been set by different bidders on the same auction, and in the same bidding range, all of the Clippers will fire in one single action. For example: Let's assume that you have a Nail Clipper set for 30 bids, and someone else has a Nail Clipper set for 10 bids. When the Clipper fires, it will subtract 10 bids from both you and from the other bidder. This will leave 20 bids in your Clipper to continue.
Each bid that the Nail Clipper makes will be listed in the bid history, located in the bottom right of the products detail page. Make sure you set your Clipper with enough bids so that it doesn't run out before the auction is over. Keep in mind that your Nail Clipper can ONLY be stopped if it has not placed its first bid. Once the Clipper has begun bidding on an auction, it will only stop bidding when 1 you win the auction, or 2 the bidding has exceeded or met the ending price that you set, or 3 your Clipper has run out of bids.
You can check the status of your Nail Clippers any time by going to the auction page or your profile page and clicking on the “Nail Clipper Overview” tab. 90% of auctions are won with the assistance of an automated buddy, such as Nail Clipper.
Sledge Hammer is another tool that bidders can use to help them try to win an item, in case they can't stay by the computer as the bidding on the auction continues. To set the Sledge Hammer, fill in the amounts where you want your Sledge to start and end, and the number of bids you would like the Sledge to make. Once the Sledge Hammer is set, it will place a bid anytime someone else bids higher than you, making you the high bidder. The Sledge Hammer does not care what time is on the clock. If multiple Sledge Hammer have been set by different bidders on the same auction, and in the same bidding range, all of the Sledges will fire in one single action. For example: Let's assume that you have a Sledge Hammer set for 30 bids, and someone else has a Sledge Hammer set for 10 bids. When the Sledge fires, it will subtract 10 bids from both you and from the other bidder. This will leave 20 bids in your Sledge to continue.
Each bid that the Sledge Hammer makes will be listed in the bid history, located in the bottom right of the products detail page. Make sure you set your Sledge with enough bids so that it doesn't run out before the auction is over. Keep in mind that your Sledge Hammer can ONLY be stopped if it has not placed its first bid. Once the Sledge has begun bidding on an auction, it will only stop bidding when 1 you win the auction, or 2 the bidding has exceeded or met the ending price that you set, or 3 your Sledge has run out of bids.
You can check the status of your Sledge Hammer any time by going to the auction page or your profile page and clicking on the “Sledge Hammer Overview” tab. 90% of auctions are won with the assistance of an automated buddy, such as Sledge Hammer.
Are all the auctioned items brand new?
You wouldn’t buy a used TV form a reputable store would you? Of course not! Just like all reputable retailers, all items for sale on NailBidder are BRAND NEW. They come from the brand names you trust and come with the full manufacturer's warranty. Unlike many other auction sites though, we don’t ship directly from the manufacturer, we keep inventory in-house! Which means as soon as you win and pay for your product, it will be shipped from us! Instead of waiting weeks for your new purchase, you’ll receive it in a matter of days!
When do the items get shipped?
As soon as payment is received, your item will be shipped the next business day.
(Business days are Monday – Friday, except US Federal Holidays)
Do you offer any tips on how to win?
Sure!
First of all, if you’re new to penny auctions, watch for a while and learn how things work. Don’t just jump right in. Get comfortable with NailBidder.
Watch our video for tips and tricks.
Look at past auctions of items you may be interested in to see what they sold for. This can help you so you know what to expect. Pick a set amount of money that you are willing to pay for the item you are bidding on so that you don’t spend more than you want!
Timing. A big part of winning an auction is timing. Keep that in mind as you monitor the site. Also, keep your eyes on the timer so you don’t miss out! You may find certain times of day, or certain days a week have better deals.
Patterns. Look for them.
Pick one strategy and stick with it.
Bidding on one item at a time may give you more success then if you are trying to win multiple items at once. If you give one item your full concentration, you may have better luck.
Start small. If you’re new, start with smaller, more inexpensive items and work your way up to the big deals.
Buy more bids at once and pay much less per bid. Having more bids on your account will also ensure that you don’t run out half way through an auction.
Check out our blog for tips, tricks, and strategies to win. We are constantly updating with new and useful information! However, remember that our tips do not guarantee that you will win.
Wireless & Connection Issues
Our server’s clocks run no matter what happens with your internet connection. For this reason we highly recommend that you don't bid at the very last split second. The internet is made of millions of different connections at different speeds, some users may find that they have a super fast connection to our servers; other may find there is a split second delay (probably not noticeable to the naked eye). We have some recommendations listed below on how to get the best from your connection.
Wireless (Wifi)
Wireless connections are generally very unstable. They may not appear to be while surfing the internet but they fade in and out without you knowing. Our web browsers and computers are designed to make it look like there is a seamless connection but sometimes the information gets lost in transit. Something as simple as a cordless phone can cause interference with your wireless connection or even more complex like a solar flare from the sun. The best similarity is cell phones, you may have perfect service but every now and then you have to say "repeat that" I didn’t get the last word. Information is sometimes lost during transmission. Due to this we recommend if you are going to bid at the last second to make sure you are connected via a wired connection.
Other Connections
This is where it gets a little tricky. We highly recommend using a wired connection to bid at the last second. However, we DO NOT control your internet provider or other connections across the internet. Cable companies, DSL companies and other service providers all have millions of simultaneous users, it is a RARE occurrence but their systems can become overloaded and work a split second slower than normal. If you notice your clock is skipping or your bid looks to be placed slow please use COMMON sense and bid a second earlier.
Exchanges? How does the PayPal, Gift Card and Bid exchange program work?
We allow our customer to exchange any win for PayPal, Gift Cards or Bids. Each auction has the ammount that product is exchangeable for on the auction page (please see below).

If you want to exchange please send an email to info@nailbidder.com and include the auction number and PayPal email adress.
*We are not responsible for any fees you may occur from receiving money via PayPal.

There are three different types of auctions, ended auctions, live auctions, and future auctions.
Ended Auctions – These are auctions that have passed and are over. Ended auctions can be a useful resource and should be studied by new bidders. You can see how much items went for, how many people bid on them, how much the winner saved, etc.
Live Auctions – These are current auctions! These can be bid on! Keep your eye on the timer!
Future Auctions – These are auctions that are in queue. They are a preview of what is coming soon!
Auction Win Limits?
Daily, Weekly & Monthly Win Limits
To ensure fairness to all bidders on the site, Rusty has established ‘Auction Win Limits,’ or a maximum amount of items that can be won by a single person within a set amount of time. This is to make sure that all bidders have a chance to win, and not the same bidders win every time. Each individual is allowed a maximum of 2 wins per 24 hour rolling period of time, 4 per 7 day rolling period of time, or 12 per 30 day rolling period of time. If you have any questions, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Featured Win Limits
Featured Items are clearly marked in the photos, this may include some higher end items, like iPads and TVs. Each individual is allowed a maximum of 1 win per 30 day rolling period of time. If you have any questions, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
What is a Blind Auction?
Blind auctions function just like any other auction except for the fact that you can not see who you are bidding against because every bidder is assigned a random user name for that specific auction. Random user name’s change after the auction ends so that the next Blind auction will have different user names. After the auction ends the actual user names will be displayed and if you have bid on the auction you will be able to see the history of all bidders and bids placed.

Nail Clipper vs. Sledge Hammer? Whats the difference?
Nail Clipper and Sledge Hammer are both tools that can be very useful to bidders who really want to win an auction, but who can’t necessarily sit by the computer and wait for the auction to end. Nail Clipper and Sledge Hammer are both set up by the bidder to place bids for them when they don’t have access to a computer. The difference between Nail Clipper and Sledge Hammer is simple. Nail Clipper will not start placing bids until the auction is almost over. Nail Clipper places a bid in the final seconds of that auction. Sledge Hammer has nothing to do with the time left on an auction. Sledge Hammer will keep placing bids to keep their bidder on top, regardless of how much time is left on the auction. Neither feature guarantees a bidder will win an auction, they are just bidder resources.

Protect yourself from Online Fraud
‘Phishing’ is an online scam where the scammer sends out an authentic-looking email asking for personal and financial information. If you receive one of these emails that appears to be from us, forward it to our Support Team right away. We will investigate and get to the bottom of it.
Here are some tips to avoid online fraud:
- Be cautious of email attachments and links from unknown sources. If you don’t know the sender, you’re better off not opening or clicking anything.
- Avoid email “auto-run” programs. Always make ure that you check that your emails don’t contain viruses by running anti-virus software.
- Do NOT provide personal or financial information to anyone in an email. NailBidder will never ask you for your banking information through an email. All payments are made directly through our site.
- Don’t be tricked by offers of money of free bids through emails. All of that is done through our site.
- Listen to your gut, if something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t.

Protect your Password
Your password is your key to accessing your NailBidder account. Employees at NailBidder will never ask you for your password by email or any other type of communication.
Remember:
•Choose unique passwords that you can remember so that you do not have to write them down. A combination of letters and numbers should be used for better protection.
•Never disclose your password(s) to anyone, especially online, not even to the police, your financial institution or your Internet Service Provider. Not even to us.
•Do not use passwords that are easy for others to guess such as birthdays, family names or telephone numbers.
•Ensure that AutoComplete or other memorized password functions on your browser are disabled.
•Saving passwords on your computer, on the Internet or on any software is not a good idea. It allows anyone with access to that information the ability to potentially impersonate you.
•Change your password every 90 days, to help protect the security of your information.
If you believe that your password has been compromised, you should change it immediately and contact our Support Team.

What happens if the site is down for maintenance
At NailBidder, we always do our very best to make sure that your experience on our website goes uninterrupted. There are, however, exceptions that may occur on rare occasions due to conditions that are not within our control such as unforeseeable problems with the internet, major power outages or a natural disaster. Rest assured that we will take the necessary measures to ensure a speedy recovery and minimize the downtime.Any bids placed while we are offline will not be debited from your account nor will they count towards the auction. If we experience downtime at any point, we automatically reset the timers when the auctions start up again to allow our bidders to get back in the action. If this situation occurs, the best way to keep track is to refresh your screen regularly, either by pressing F5 or by clicking the refresh button on your browser.
I placed a bid that hasn't registered. What does this mean?
